50+ people joined us for this years Yabby farming Field day.

Topics covered included how to grow yabbies for fun and profit, pond design, nutrition, netting, fencing, harvesting using the labour saving Super trap,
purging and how to pack yabbies for transport.

Policy and compliance officer from NSW DPI Fisheries, Graeme Bowley was on hand to explain and answer questions regarding permit and
government regulations and requirements.

Neil from Aquablue Seafoods presented an informative talk on poly-culture
with yabbies and silver Perch.

Agriculture coordinator from Wadalba Community School, David Drury, gave us an update on a yabby project undertaken by his school that we were been involved in.

A representative from TAFE NSW explained what opportunities available to those wanting to undertake a Cert II or Cert III in Aquaculture in NSW.

A very big thank you to NSW DPI Fisheries, Aquablue Seafood, David Drury and those whose contributions on the day made it a great success.
